Meet Kelly Meyer
Hi! My name is Kelly Meyer and I am the new School Liaison for the Science Museum of Minnesota. I started my education career in the Minneapolis Public Schools before heading to Arizona to teach junior high science for seven years. Prior to becoming the liaison, I taught about engineering, blowing things up, and chromatography as a Science Museum Instructor.
I will be the primary contact for all school-related Science Museum programs. Want to know more about field trip options or outreach opportunities such as assemblies? Interested in learning about how to get high school students involved or about how your district can participate in professional development? Does a school overnight or school family night at the museum sound like an adventure to you and your students?
I am excited to work with educators to build relationships and to collaborate on providing a quality STEM education. Please contact me with any questions or ideas. I'd also be happy to visit your school to discuss the possibilities. I look forward to meeting you!
P.S. Come to the Education Minnesota Conference on October 17 at the RiverCentre to meet me and to learn about all that the Science Museum of Minnesota has to offer. Find out about the upcoming Ultimate Dinosaurs
exhibition and The Big Weather Experience
field trip package!
Take Advantage of our Bus Subsidy Program
Funding is available to offset the transportation cost of a field trip to the Science Museum of Minnesota. The subsidy supports field trips to the museum occurring between October 1, 2013 and April 30, 2014. This bus subsidy funding is made possible because of one-time funding from an anonymous donor for the 2013-2014 school year.
