Dinosaur Dentists

Sink your teeth into comparative anatomy!

Dinosaur DentistsWorking in small groups, students will handle and observe real teeth and replicas from modern-day and prehistoric animals. They will practice sorting teeth by physical characteristics such as size and shape. Using animal photographs and the evidence collected, students will identify whose chompers are whose! Students can then apply these skills and knowledge to investigate the teeth of an ancient carnivore and a prehistoric herbivore to develop their own ideas about what these dinos may have had for lunch!
