Rebecca Newberry has been working in the Conservation Department since June 1994. She attended workshops held at SPNHC and AIC, as well as a workshop on Integrated Pest Management sponsored by the Upper Midwest Conservation Association in 1999.
Ms. Newberry has been responsible for monitoring for the Integrated Pest Management program and the museum's environmental systems and she aids the Conservator in developing exhibition, storage, and shipping mounts for the diverse collections. Her conservation interests include Integrated Pest Management, preventive conservation techniques, and ethnographic conservation, focusing on culturally appropriate storage and preservation.
