Request to Visit Collections
All requests to visit collections should be done at least 3 weeks prior to visiting the museum.
Please contact the Registrar with your planned visit date and include your reason for visiting and what objects you plan on examining.
Science Learning Division staff all have busy schedules and planning ahead always makes for a more productive visit.
Access is limited to researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, educators, government scientists and individuals with specific needs as determined by our science staff.
Such studies should be conducted during normal operating hours, weekdays, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Science Learning Division is not open to the general public, but during the Annual Members Behind the Scenes open house, members can visit the division, meet the staff, and examine some of the scientific collections during the yearly behind the scenes tour. Please contact the Membership office for details. www.smm.org/members
