does ticks jump on the host or just crawls up?
no ticks don't jump they crawl
Oh, good question! Ticks crawl; they don't jump or fly. They hang out near the tips of grasses and shrubs, waiting for a potential host to walk by. They grab on to the animals or people who brush up against the plants, and then crawl upwards.
What if an animal such as horse or cow ingest the tip of the grass containing the tick with the spiorchete???
It has been reported that Bb (the cause) depletes proteoglycans. And that these protein are essential for health and even life.
WHY ISN'T MORE BEING DONE TO UNDERSTAND BORRELIA BURGDORFERI?
Bb is reported to use Matrix metalloproteinaease (MMP) to destroy or degrade proteoglycans that make up the extracellular matrix (ECM) which may be a cause of Cancers and other diseases.
Borrelia burgdorferi (Bb) is now reported to be able to penetrate not only the lymphocytes, endothelial, macrophage but now the fibroblasts cells as well. So it does appear as though Bb can go anywhere anytime it pleases!!
It also is reported to be able to upregulate ADAMTS-4/Aggrancanse-1, which can aid in destroying Basement membrane.
Possibility of being a direct cause of cancers!!!!!!
