There is this chart that we found, and it's quite interesting. It breaks down the process of science in general. This chart also help you understand how the world connects, once you put it in a certain order by the chart. It goes from a broad idea and once you hover over it it goes into detail. For example a teenager had to create a lab and not a clue what is expected of it, so then she can locate the chart and see testing ideas. which then lead to the other processes and provide her with her needs for the lab... . This site is really good for explaining the scientific process. I remember the almost weekly new findings and discoveries leading to the acceptance of plate tectonics and the ongoing discussion of iridium layer/meteor impact hypothesis. A whole branch of science was drastically transformed in just a few years.
That chart is a really great summary of the non-linear nature of scientific inquiry. So many text books present it as a direct step by step process, when it's really much more of an iterative roundabout. Thanks for posting.
This chart is really cool. This page did help me with my homework assignment earlier this week. I got a decent grade on it. SO I would say that this is a good resource for anyone.
