I would like to donate ny body to forensic science after my death because I have no family that cares and I don't believe in god so I do not want a funeral. So if my body could be used to assist in forensic science it would leave me content, to do so,

I have contemplated this decision myself. There is a place called the Body Farm that conducts research with human bodies. Bodies are placed in specific conditions so notes can be taken about its decomposition. This research is then used by forensic anthropologists and the criminal community in order to assist in investigations. I think knowing the time of death of a body has greatly improved with this kind of research. With research like this I see donating one's body to science as a great asset to the rest of the population.

Cool discussion.

Last summer, when the Science Museum of Minnesota was hosting Body Worlds, we had a whole feature on the topic of body donation. (Yes, we talked about the Body Farm.)

And if you search Science Buzz for "body donation," a whole page of resources pops up.
