NASA scientists spent a month flying a sensor-packed airplane into storms brewing off the western coast of Africa. Data collected from these missions might someday allow better storm prediction and forecasting, and will definitely contribute to our knowledge of how hurricanes form and sustain themselves.

This story reminds me of this great website from NASA where you can look at live satellite imagery from around the world. Here you can look at the area off the west coast of Africa where these airplanes flew.

this is very sad what had happened to all of these people that were in hurricane katrina... we should all be thankful for everything that we have and that we will never have a disaster this bad. that is why we should helpp these people and let them feel special!
