You might remember this video of a guy flying in the air with a jet pack on his back. According to National Geographic, he's attempting a world record for personal jet flight by flying across the English Channel today. Keep your eyes and ears posted for video of this amazing flight.

UPDATE: Check the comments section here for information on how Jet Man did on his cross-channel journey, plus other Jet Man goodies.

Jet Man was actually delayed a day by bad weather but I saw him this morning making the flight live on the "Today" show. He actually crossed the English Channel in less than 20 minutes with a safe landing. Does anyone know how long it typically takes someone to swim the English Channel?

Here's a link to a full package of video, photos and other interactive experiences about Jet Man. National Geographic will be running an hour-long show tonight (7 p.m. Central Time) about the amazing things he's done.
