Researchers suggest children who watch TV while receiving a shot suffer less pain from a hypodermic needle than children not watching TV.
Man, then they need to get some TVs into the blood banks. I donated blood the other day and always get that sharp remminder how painful it can be.
I just wonder if this pertains to only children or if adults can be so distracted as well.
From what I have been able to find, it looks like researchers have mainly focused on children. However, I bet some adults would benefit from this distraction too! If and when I need to get a shot, I usually bring my ipod.
