A company in California is harvesting the power of cow patties, using manure to produce natural gas for home heating.

Try Cow power or Making fuel from trash (which has a comment about the Haubenschild farm in Minnesota).

Many zoos are considering turning animal waste (which is plentiful, and costs money to dispose of) into fuel. And the Museum of Science, London, is looking at power generation from human poop. (See that "Making fuel from trash thread" for more.)
