Too popular for their own good
I recently got to see a preview of the new hands-on interactive gallery at the Science Museum, London, called Launchpad. It looks like a fun and well designed space. The director of new media at the Science Museum London, Dave Patten, even has pictures up on Flickr of the space in construction (a cool move that I hope some more museums adopt).
To help promote the exhibit and to compliment the exploratory nature of the experience they built a really rad online flash game called Launchball. Sadly, this game quickly got picked up on digg and was swamped under the burst of traffic that digg can bring. It's been offline ever since. But hey, too much traffic is a good problem to have. I am sure they are working on a way to get it back up with more server juice behind it.

WolfQuestI also just ran across this, in development, game from the Minnesota Zoo. They are building WolfQuest which seems like it will be a 3D first person game designed to give you a sense of what it feels like to be a wolf. I am curious to check this out when it launches. Will it be another educational "game" that feels a little too much like work, or will it be a unique multilayer environment that let's you play your way into knowledge. We shall see. There is lots of potential for this type of experience giving you a unique augmented sense of nature.

Well, the first episode of the game is currently available.
i love the game it is so much fun to play.
do you have to download it because my daghter tried to download it our computer can't have more than 200 megabites.
How do you get to the game site where you can start playing?
I think you need to download the game. You then can play solo or go on line and hunt with other live players. I have done both.

I have found a mate on episode one but no one knows when episode 2 is coming out and i ma really excited about it and cant wait but the thing is people say it is coming out this month(February 23,it is about to end!) and others say in the summer of june and all.Why soooooooo long?I really want to hunt with my mate and start a pack!i finished wolf quest 1 soooooo fast i am on episode 2 but it isnt out yet!do u know when it will come out?

I think I know when the episode 2 on wolf quest will come out. I think the month of july. I do not know what day but the wolf quest site e-mailed me and said july! I cant wait for the episode 2 to come out!!

They said that it should hopefully come out this spring, it will be based on raising pups and stuff. They have the money now to make it, so they should be able to have it out. I can't wait! =DD

Hey i know the best thing to get a mate is to find a dispersal F/M then say "hello there". when they say it back say "i like you". Then they say it back then you say "lets start a pack" then they say it back. Then you repeat "lets start a pack". So now this wolf becomes your mate! Good luck!!:))))
I downloaded it, but when I started playing, it's so slow! I'm not very happy. I really wanted to try it out! If anybody can help me that would be great! I'd also like to know how to get it to work and how I can try an make more space on my computer so it will work properly. Please can someone help me?
Ok so the first thing you do is to go on your controll panel. Second you look under programs and click on "uninstall a program". Finally you delete a whole bunch of crap that you dont need. Maybe even some big huge games that take up a lot of room. And of course that you dont play anymore. Well i hope that helps! Bye!:)))
